Neighborhood spotlight: how the Brookland farmers market grew

The Brookland farmers market began in a church parking lot with six vendors. Today it hosts more than thirty producers every Saturday from April to November and accepts SNAP with matching dollars.

Organizers say the biggest lesson was simple: consistent hours and clear signage brought people back week after week.
