New 311 request categories added for sidewalk and alley lighting

The 311 system now includes two new request types: Alley Light Out and Sidewalk Light Out. Previously these were filed under a general streetlight category, which slowed routing to the right crew.

To use them, open the 311 app or website, choose Streetlights, and pick the specific type. Include a nearby address or pole number if you can see one. Most lighting requests are reviewed within five business days.
